Roscoe Mountain Club is Hiring an Asst General Manager Near Roscoe, NY

We're hiring a Full-time Assistant General Manager in Roscoe NY!

Ideal candidates have a genuine passion for leadership. As an Assistant General Manager, you will be responsible for providing incredible guest service and member experiences by directing and administering all aspects of operation. This includes implementing the property’s policies and procedures as defined by the property’s ownership and/or Troon. Previous supervisory experience is a requirement for the position.

Ideal candidates have flexible schedules with availability to work weekends and holidays, as needed.

SALARY: $60,000-$70,000, based on experience

Responsibilities

  • Manages the office area to ensure effective telephone and mail communications
  • Manages all aspects of the club in the absence of the General Manager
  • Assists in hiring, developing, and supervising all key management employees of the property
  • Processes customer reservations for guests of the facility
  • Produce daily reports related to rounds, sales, etc. for management
  • Assists in coordinating of individual, group, and tournament play as directed by the 1st Assistant Golf Professional and/or Head Golf Professional
  • Provides customer service to arriving guest to help expedite check-in process
  • Assists in reconciliation of cash and accounts receivable charges to daily register at the closing of the day
  • Assists in overseeing the care and maintenance of the property’s physical assets and facilities
  • Provides assistance in management of Pro-Shop
  • Maintains positive and productive relationships between the golf facility and golfers, guests, employees, community, government, and industry
  • Assists with sourcing, hiring, developing, training, and motivating a staff of professional service-orientated staff at the discretion of the General Manager
  • Assists GM in managing staff by conducting staff meetings
  • Ensures standards by implementing course policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties assigned by manger or supervisor

Education and Experience Requirements

  • College degree preferred
  • Must have related experience in F&B; club environment preferred
  • Knowledge of pertinent health regulations and liquor laws
  • Must have food and beverage/a la carte and banquet experience
  • Ability to manage staff (supervisory experience)
  • Must be highly organized, efficient and detail-oriented
  • Must have exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Must have strong customer/guest orientation
  • Computer skills – Word, Excel, POS, etc. - preferred

Working Conditions

  • Physical activity including long periods (6-8 hours) of standing, walking, bending, and scooping
  • Regularly to reach with arms and hands
  • Occasionally will be required to lift up to 30lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision, and depth perception
  • Moderate exposure to extreme cold, heat, working outdoors, chemicals, pesticides, gasoline, vibration, pollen, dust, mechanical hazards, and electrical hazards
  • Noise level is typically moderate to loud
  • Work extended hours during golf and holiday season
  • Work weekends and holidays
