The Breast Care Coordinator is the primary liaison for patients who require additional imaging following a screening mammogram. The Coordinator comforts patients by anticipating anxiety, answering questions, maintaining a kind and courteous manner, and respecting the patient's privacy. The coordinator must be competent in performing duties as staff mammographer. The Coordinator assists leadership with maintaining daily operational functions as directed. Requires high level of attention to detail and accuracy, knowledge, and confidentiality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of an accredited school of Allied Health Professions. Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: At least 5 year of work experience in Mammography required.
Licensure/Certification: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiologic Technology and Mammography. Must have a current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider Card. Certified or documentation that certification has been applied for with the SCRQSA.

Knowledge/Skills: Effective communication skills, initiative, problem-solving ability, accountability, flexibility, and stress management. Must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. Must have demonstrated ability to perform and teach Mammography exams to produce satisfactory diagnostic images for interpretation. Knowledge of MQSA, OSHA, DHEC, FDA and TJC standards and regulations. Ability to operate standard office equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
