Currently seeking applicants who enjoy a positive, high-paced work environment, working hard, and food, this is the job for you. Warehouse Support at Root Cellar learns about the world of locally produced food and the farmers/vendors who make it all possible.

Responsibilities

• Receive orders and cross-check cargo invoices
• Unload a wide range of deliveries by hand
• Sort, package, and store a wide range of food products properly
• Pack food boxes for distribution and delivery
• Clean work areas, including hand washing tools, sweeping, and mopping
• Learn about many local and organic products
• Work independently on a wide range of project

Qualification

• A passion for local and sustainably produced food
• An ability to identify a variety of fruits and vegetables
• Basic technology skills, including email and text messaging
• Prior food-related experience will be strongly considered
• The ability to lift and carry 40lbs repetitively, stand and work for long periods, and complete tasks quickly and efficiently
• A positive attitude and ability to work with a team

Compensation

The Warehouse support position starts at $15/hour, and receive one of Root Cellar's weekly subscription boxes as an added benefit ($35 weekly value)

Start Date: Immediately

Position is Part-Time

Availability: Minimum of 20 up to 32 hours per week.9:30 AM -- 6:30 PM Tuesday-Friday (Must have availability in these hours)
