About Rooster Crow Bakery
We are a locally owned indie Bakery, that is heavily community involved.
We believe in high-quality & fresh ingredients. We make our own Pies, Cakes, and Doughnuts
from scratch!

will be a leader in the kitchen that we and the team require to inspire the team, uphold the
culinary standards, and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment.
Summary of Position: Baker
I am directly responsible for all kitchen functions including food purchasing, preparation and
maintenance of quality standards; sanitation and cleanliness.
Duties & Responsibilities:
· I ensure that all food and products are consistently prepared and served according to
the bakeries recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards.
· I fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
· I assist in all required paperwork, including forms, reports and schedules in an organized
and timely manner.
· I ensure that all equipment is kept clean and kept in excellent working condition through
personal inspection and by creating and following daily cleaning schedules.
· I assist the owner to plan and price menu items. Establish portion sizes and prepare
standard recipes for all new menu items.
· I ensure that all products are ordered according to predetermined product specifications
and received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance
with the restaurant’s receiving policies and procedures.
· I control food cost and usage by following proper requisition of products from storage
areas, product storage procedures, standard recipes and waste control procedures.
. I am responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, mats,
walls, hoods, other equipment and food storage areas.
Qualifications:
· I have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a baker or pastry chef in a scratch kitchen.
· I have at least 6 months experience in a similar capacity.
· I am able to communicate clearly with leadership, team members, and guests.
· I am able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
· I am able to work in a standing position for long periods of time (up to 9 hours)
I am able to be at work at 5:00 am on days when the bakery is open.
Bonus:
· I maintain a positive attitude and provide an example to the team.
· I maintain a four star or higher rating for food on social media sites.
· I maintain baking pars to the acceptable target range set forth by ownership.
· I constantly work towards improving my skill sets, both personally and professionally.
· I check and maintain proper food holding and refrigeration temperature control points.
