JOB SUMMARY of the Food Service Worker:
Performs varied routine work related to the preparation and service of food as well as cleaning of food service facilities, equipment and utensils.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS of the Food Service Worker:

• Arranges dishes, cutlery, napkins and condiments on trays or tables.
• Prepares food items such as salads, desserts, beverages and toasts.
• Preps fruits and vegetables for cooking.
• Delivers food and trays to dining rooms and resident rooms.
• Assists in the receipt and storage of food, supplies, and equipment.
• Serves food at counters, tables or from a hot truck onto trays.
• Cleans and sanitizes facility, equipment, utensils, trays and silver
• Transports and empties trash and cleans containers.

OTHER JOB DUTIES:

• Attends required inservice training.
• Does related work as required.
• Assists other personnel when required. 

EXPERIENCE:

• Previous Food Service experience preferred, but on the job training is provided.
