Activity Aide Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the planning, organizing, and implementation of a variety of recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
- Engaging with residents on a one-on-one or group basis to encourage participation in activities.
- Setting up and organizing activity spaces, ensuring they are safe and conducive to the planned activities.
- Providing support to the Activity Therapist and other team members in executing activity programs.
- Documenting residents' participation and any observed changes or preferences.
Activity Aide Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working with seniors or in a healthcare setting is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Energetic and creative with a passion for working with the elderly.
- Ability to assist in the setup and breakdown of activity areas.
