Ronald Cody DMD is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Portland, ME

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist and ensuring the smooth operation of the dental office. Your primary responsibilities will include providing chairside assistance to the dentist, performing dental procedures, and maintaining a clean and sterile environment.

Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations, ensuring all necessary instruments and supplies are ready
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures by passing instruments, suctioning, and providing retraction as needed
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices
- Perform basic laboratory tasks such as pouring impressions and fabricating temporary crowns
- Schedule patient appointments and maintain accurate patient records
- Provide administrative support such as answering phone calls, managing patient files, and processing payments

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent

-Maintain dental supply inventory
- X-ray certification
- Proficiency in Dentrix, Epic, Eaglesoft, or other dental software systems is a plus
- Familiarity with dental anatomy and oral health procedures
- Experience with CAD/CAM technology is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and infection control protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
