Position Description

Bishop Garriga Middle Preparatory School is seeking a full-time, 8th grade Language Arts Teacher. for the 2024-2025 academic year. The desired applicant will be able to provide engaging instruction, posses a high level of content mastery, can collaborate well with colleagues, and can inspire students with a love for learning, literature, and reading.

Qualifications

Minimum requirements include:

• A Bachelor's degree in content area taught
• Bachelor's degree with 18 credit hours in content area taught will be accepted
• Bachelor's degree with completion of appropriate state certification exam will be accepted
• 12 Credit hours in education courses or a valid appropriate state certification
• Prior teaching experience preferred

Additional requirements:

• Valid Texas driver's license
• Must submit to employment required screenings including a criminal history background check, motor vehicle record check, and drug screening
• Certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child & Family Resources
• Position requires adherence to Diocesan policies and procedures
