Description

St. Elizabeth Catholic School is seeking a teacher aide to provide assistance to classroom teacher(s) as the instructional program necessitates.

DUTIES

1. Supervise individual students and small groups of students as learning activities are implemented.

2. Assist in preparing instructional materials and bulletin boards.

3. Able to use multimedia material and equipment to reinforce lesson presentations.

4. Perform clerical work as needed.

5. Supervise students during activities, as assigned by the teacher(s) or the Principal.

6. Plan instruction/activities together with the teacher(s).

7. Attend in-services and workshops as directed by the Principal.

8. Performs other duties as directed by the teacher(s) and/or the Principal.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
• Must be able to respond to the needs of children
• Non-Catholic teacher aides are required to have knowledge of the Catholic faith and support the goals of Catholic tradition in education

Additional Requirements:

• Valid Texas driver's license
• Submit to employment required screening, criminal history background check, and drug screening
• Complete certification in Safe Environment training provided by the Office of Safe Environment and Child and Family Resources
• Adherence to all diocesan policies and procedures
