Pre-Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant - Settlement Coordinator

Experienced personal injury legal assistant/paralegal with at least 3 years of experience in Plaintiff's Personal Injury. We are seeking a Settlement Coordinator who is responsible for gathering final medical bills and liens, seeking reductions of bills and liens, preparation of Settlement Statements, client closing experience, and closing file protocol.

$20 - $23 hourly

• Gathering final medical bills, health insurance liens, and pip logs. Review these items to ensure all bills have been properly processed by PIP and health insurance
• Communicate with medical providers to obtain fair medical bill reductions upon resolution of the case
• Communicate with health insurance carriers to ensure proper lien reductions
• Preparation of reduction requests, and final Settlement Statements
• Assist the Attorney and Case Manager in the closing phase of the case including requesting Client Reviews and closing file protocol including preparation of all closing letters and entering disposition into case management software
• Produce monthly reports for Firm Leadership describing revenue by marketing source
• This position requires a happy professional disposition, familiarity with communicating with doctor billing offices, familiarity with PIP Logs, Medicare Portal, Health Insurance Liens, and the importance of a happy client at the end of the case to ensure a positive Google review is secured

• Applicants must have excellent communication skills and organizational skills
• Applicants must be able to type 50 words per minute or faster
• Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products
• Able to meet demanding deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Knowledge of Filevine case management software is a plus but not required
