Head of Global Product Cost

Indianapolis, IN

In this role you will be standing up the new global product cost team and will be a part of the Global Planning leadership team within Business Support. This team will serve as a gearbox for product cost across our global program teams, supply chain, and finance to develop and execute a roadmap that prioritize our product cost journey. This will range from improving our understanding and planning of costs which is critical to enabling delivery of the five-year plan through to supporting decision making which impacts product cost.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Improving the communication and integration of the sources of part cost change
  • Improving the fidelity of product cost data and interpretation for business evaluation
  • Improving the data transparency and availability
  • Improving fidelity of engine set value cost forecasts
  • Develop structure such that our data can be leveraged to make business decisions across our programs
  • Develop and execute a roadmap to refine product cost forecast methodology, cost control, and increased confidence in ESV cost reporting

Basic Requirements:

  • Associate's degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 10 years of experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 8 years of experience OR
  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering, or other discipline and 6 years of experience, OR
  • JD/PhD and 3 years of experience
  • 12 years of experience in lieu of a degree
  • In order to be considered for this position for location based in the US, you must be a US Citizen.

Preferred Requirements:

  • Experience leading change
  • Experience leading global projects or teams
  • Influencing & leading people outside of direct management accountability
  • In depth understanding of Defense end-to-end business lifecycle
  • Strong business acumen
