We are seeking a skilled and certified CWI Welding Inspector to join our team in Winsted, MN. As a CWI Welding Inspector, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our welding processes through non-destructive testing methods. Candidates must possess ASNT-TC-1A and preferably CWI Certifications.
Essential Job Functions:
- Determine test equipment settings and conduct tests on parts following established procedures.
- Apply agents and conduct visual, penetrant, ultrasonic, and magnetic particle tests on metal parts.
- Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports.
- Assist in monitoring and auditing existing weld procedures.
- Inspect and calibrate test equipment and document results.
- Collaborate with NDT personnel and provide on-the-job training as needed.
- Maintain 5S guidelines and adhere to safety protocols.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Diploma or AAS degree in Nondestructive Testing preferred.
- CWI, Phased Array Certification, or Level 3 Certification in UT, MT, and VT recommended.
- Must have ASNT-TC-1A certification
- Proficient in interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Computer literate with knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
- Ability to operate powered industrial vehicles and use precision measuring devices.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and grow in a challenging environment.
