OBJECTIVE OF THIS POSITION

Rohrer is a dynamic manufacturing organization seeking an Information Security Engineer to join our team and help fuel our rise. The right candidate will be someone who is ready to take charge of our IT security operations, understand and operate multiple platforms, and aspires to grow into a Cybersecurity Engineer or Architect role.

ESSENTIAL JOB TASKS 

• Oversee and manage the platforms securing our IT environment, including networks, endpoints, and identities.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices in IT security.
• Administer user access controls and procedures, review access rights periodically, and remove access for terminated users promptly.
• Work closely with our IT team to implement security measures and promote a culture of security awareness.
• Participate in incident response activities, including initial assessment, remediation, and lessons learned.
• Regularly review systems for compliance with company security policies and relevant regulations.
• Assist in conducting risk assessments and audits.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or a related field. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in an IT or IT Security role.
• Certifications such as CompTIA Security , CISSP, or similar are a plus.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment is beneficial.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITES

• Demonstrated ability to operate and manage multiple platforms.
• Knowledge of current IT security trends and best practices.
• Familiarity with risk assessment and compliance audits.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical issues to a non-technical audience.

ADDITIONAL NOTES

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, Auvik, and Tenable tools is desirable.
