We are looking for a Repair Technician for our Aircraft Equipment Group in Irvine.

JOB DUTIES

• Validates all documentation detail information required for Evaluations, Repair, and Testing processes per FAA Part 145, RSM, and QMS requirements.
• Ensures and validates equipment calibration is in compliance prior to starting work.
• Performs evaluation of customer returned Instruments, Controls, Pressure, and Systems articles within 48 hours after receiving article into RMA systems.

• Communicates any documentation findings/issues to the Repairs Manager/Supervisor/Leads for prompt resolution.
• Performs testing, troubleshooting, and repairs of articles per CMM, Process Specification acceptance test procedures to ensure articles meet the design specification.
• Logged data entry of parts required for repairs and traceability.
• Accurately performs Disassembly, Repair, and Re-Assembly of intricate mechanical workmanship following Drawings, Schematic, CMM, Process Specification, Test Specification, and Calibration procedures per RSM and QMS requirements.
• Articles approval by customers shall be processed within 21 working days.
• All documents used during repairs of articles shall be referenced on Tear Down Report for traceability.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, and EXPERIENCE:

• Experience with reading and interpreting Drawing, CMM, Schematic, Process Specification, Acceptance Test Procedure and other documents required by articles.
• Attention to detail with the ability to review and translate repair documentation.
• Adhere to Repairs Schedule and communicate any issues affecting product quality or on-time delivery.
• Motivated self-starter with a strong ability to multitask and demonstrates excellent time management.
• Experience with test equipment functions and usages of DC Calibrators, Oscilloscope, Voltage meters, Power Supply, Test fixtures and other test equipment as defined by ATP requirements.

Qualifications

• 4-year Electronics degree preferable or 5 years experience in the following areas
• Minimum 5 years of solid experience in electronic troubleshooting (Gate theory) and component repair
• Minimum 5 years’ Analog / Digital disciplines including solid schematic understanding
• Preferred background with Aerospace Documentation of CMM’s, Schematics, Process Specs, and ATP as well as FAA/ AS9100 /ISO/ Safety and procedural requirements.
• MS/OS with Outlook, Excel, Word, and Database program and processing experience.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
