PROGRAM AND PRODUCTION COORDINATOR - PART-TIME

Rogers State University Public Television

POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists Program and Promotions Manager with functions related to television programming including scheduling, evaluating new programs, and responding to viewer questions and comments. Rotates between all departments (programming, production, master control, etc.) as directed to help ensure cohesive cross-platform content promotion and delivery.

PRIMARY DUTIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Assists Program and Promotions Manager with the creation and maintenance of grids and logs.
Reviews programs, promotions, underwriting announcements, and other content as assigned to ensure broadcast standards are met and communicates and/or performs any changes needed.
Contributes to the development and structured integration of student-produced video content.
Documents procedures for programming 35.1 and assists with expanding scheduled content on 35.2.
Rotates between departments to document evolving procedures related to broadcast and digital delivery including app development.
Follows all FCC and CPB programming requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit and work on a computer and monitor additional screens throughout a workday.
Ability to speak, see, and hear.

REPORTS TO: Program and Promotions Manager

HOURS:Monday – Friday, between 8:00 – 5:00, TBD.

FLSA CLASSIFICATION: Non-exempt

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Experience in broadcast and digital media production and promotion.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage details and deadlines.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Able to adapt quickly to rotating or flexible work assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

One year working in a media or IT related field.
Experience in Adobe Creative Suite.

Proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications.
