About this position
- Ability to recruit quality student athletes who can excel in both athletics and academics.
- Develop practice and game strategies which will allow the team to be successful.
- Ensure an atmosphere of compliance with all institutional, conference, and national association rules and regulations.
- Carry out any other duties as assigned by the Director of Athletics or the President of the University.
- Develop and adhere to an annual budget for the women’s basketball program.
- Participate in public relations activities, speaking engagements, and interviews.
- Support and participate in fundraising initiatives for the Department of Athletics under the direction of the Director of Athletics.
- Develop a competitive schedule and coordinate travel details for road contests.
- Bachelor’s degree and extensive knowledge of the sport of basketball with a demonstrated ability to teach the sport.
- Coaching experience or high school head coaching experience.
- Master’s Degree.
- Experience recruiting and coaching at the collegiate level.
- Head Coaching Experience.
- A demonstrated knowledge of the day-to-day operations of a college basketball program and athletic department.
- A proven record in following directives and being responsible for tasks which have been assigned.
