Rogers Group is currently seeking a Trucking Superintendent I in Conway, AR for our Arkansas Construction operations reporting directly to the Area Construction Manager. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated ability to recruit, train, development and retain employees while focused on uncompromised excellence in safety, quality, and productivity.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain current working knowledge of FMCSA rules/regulations.
• Conduct regular safety audits on equipment.
• Manage approximately 4 to 6 direct reports responsible for internally owned trucks (20 to 30) and 3 rd party trucks (60 to 75 daily).
• Keep organized records of vehicles, schedules, and maintenance.
• Administration of Fleetwatcher (Tracking System) and Lytx (Drive Cam System).
• Responsible for Trucking line of business P&L. Including analyzing expenditures and construction budgets to develop plans, policies, and trucking budgets for increasing profits and improving services.
• Maintain good working relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Demonstrable knowledge of construction trucking and logistics.
• Ability to communicate and work with senior management to achieve the necessary goals set for specific projects.
• Proven ability to supervise, train, and develop personnel.
• Must be able to perform in a team atmosphere, need good inquiry skills.
• Ability to read and interpret construction budgets and adjust trucking needs accordingly.
• Self-starter and someone that manages time without direct oversight daily and is willing to travel across North Arkansas daily checking on crews.
• 8-10 years of direct industry experience, experience with construction trucking preferred.
• Effective communication skills, written and verbal, with internal and external customers.
• Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic thinker with the bigger picture in mind.
Familiarity with Fleetwatcher and Lytx, as well as excellent skills in MS suites and excel preferred.
