Rogers Group is currently seeking a Financial Analyst for our East Tennessee Market Area, which is based in Knoxville, TN. This position reports to the Senior Financial Analyst. The successful candidate will have a strong work ethic, intuitive problem-solving skills and the drive to meet our evolving organizational needs.
Responsibilities:
- Actively participate in accounting functions of the East Tennessee operations including month-end close, financial analysis, inventory management, and other reporting as required by management.
- Perform, summarize, and distribute quantitative analysis of weekly and monthly reports.
- Assist in month-end accounting procedures and inventory management.
- Assist in creation of annual business plan/forecast.
- Manage/model capital expenditure project requests across all business units.
- Design and build analysis tools and new reporting as needed using MS Excel and data mining tools.
- Perform ad hoc analysis as needed by stakeholders throughout the market area.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years relevant work experience or relevant internship experience.
- Effective communication skills: written and inter-personal.
- Technical expertise in Microsoft Office suites (especially Excel).
- Highly self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership.
- Effective organizational skills to manage a dynamic workload.
- Business analytics/data mining experience preferred. Power BI experience preferred.
