JOB SUMMARY:

Provide exceptional customer service to our guests by assisting with their purchasing decisions and providing accurate and helpful advice. 

JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Provide helpful customer service in person, on the phone and via email.
• Understand and follow proper procedures regarding special orders, deliveries, spoilage, consultations, etc.
• Always be available to provide courteous and friendly service for all customer needs.
• Attend all scheduled training and employee meetings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• Ability to identify and provide accurate care and selection instructions for outdoor plants and gardening products.
• Good written communication and use of electronic media and paperwork.
• Ability to operate our inventory and POS system for the functions of sales, customer data, delivery, special orders, etc.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to walk around the store for up to 8 hours.
• Ability to lift and move merchandise weighing up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to communicate and work well with other employees in a team environment.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Certification or Horticulture enrollment or degree preferred
• Previous sales experience
