Rodeo Dental & Orthodontics is Hiring an Expanded Duty Dental Assistant (EDDA) Near Arvada, CO

The company’s team of 100 award-winning doctors provide a full range of general dentistry, orthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, and board-certified pediatric dental services in 30 Rodeo locations throughout the states of Texas, Colorado, and Arizona.

We are searching for a talented EDDA to join our team at our Aurora, Co office. The right candidate will have a servant's heart, excellent communication skills, and attention to detail.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • At least 1 years of dental assisting (EDDA) experience
  • Must have experience in multi surface filling and dentures
  • Active CPR and AED training
  • Current certification to monitor Nitrous Oxide preferred
  • Maintain annual OSHA, HIPAA and Infection Control training
  • Dental practice management software (Open Dental/Dentrix) experience helpful
  • Sealant, Coronal Polishing, or PALS Certifications are all a huge plus!

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist the doctor in restorative procedures, composite fillings, crown and bridge, dentures, taking impressions, taking FMX, charting sterilization, placing rubber dam, pouring up models, root canals, and extractions
  • Focusing on Patient Safety and Team Safety as priority one
  • Adhering to OSHA and Infection Control Protocols, and disposing of sharps and clinical waste in a prompt and safe manner
  • Maintaining digital patient artifacts such as health history, insurance eligibility, treatment plans, pre-authorizations, lab requests, procedures, and appointment details
  • Educating patients and parents on the benefits of good oral health
  • Monitoring the patient's physical and emotional well-being during the entire visit
  • Preparing tray set-ups according to doctor preferences and planned procedures
  • Ensuring that exam rooms and operatories are cleaned, disinfected, organized, and stocked according to the required standards at the beginning and end of each patient interaction
  • Charting existing treatment for new patients by updating the patient chart with entries for fillings, crowns, sealants, etc.
  • Reviewing the patient chart and health history prior to the doctor arrival and reconfirming the patient's chief concern
  • Taking diagnostic quality X-Rays and attaching them to the patient chart
  • Helping the Rodeo Team clean surfaces, sinks, floors and common areas of exam rooms, operatories, reception, break rooms, restrooms, etc.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

  • Prolonged sitting and standing as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $26.70 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
