Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Cabinet Maker to join our team. As a Cabinet Maker, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing cabinets and other wooden furniture. This is a hands-on role that requires expertise in using power tools and hand tools, as well as knowledge of various woodworking techniques.

Responsibilities:

- Read and interpret blueprints to determine specifications and materials needed

- Measure, cut, shape, and assemble wood pieces according to specifications

- Install hardware such as hinges, handles, and knobs

- Sand and finish surfaces to ensure smoothness and quality

- Repair or restore damaged cabinets or furniture

- Collaborate with designers or clients to ensure the final product meets their expectations

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Experience:

To be successful in this role, you should have the following skills and qualifications:

- Proven experience as a Cabinet Maker or similar role

- Proficiency in using power tools such as saws, drills, and sanders

- Knowledge of hand tools used in woodworking

- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings

- Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements

- Familiarity with different types of wood and their characteristics

- Understanding of safety procedures and precautions when working with tools and machinery

Preferred Skills (not required but a plus):

- Experience in plumbing or electrical work related to cabinet installation

- Trim carpentry skills for precise fitting of cabinets into spaces

- Knowledge of masonry for custom installations

- Experience in blueprint reading for complex projects

- Mold remediation or water damage restoration experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.66 - $24.50 per hour

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
