SALARY:

$95,000 - $119,000 per year depending on rank. The posted salary range represents the minimum to the midpoint within RVU’s compensation plan. RVU’s full compensation structure provides a minimum to a maximum range. The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to skill, knowledge, experience, education, and credentials.

Primary Purpose

Coordinate and advance Interprofessional Educational (IPE) curriculum. Job Statement: Rocky Vista University is seeking a Director of Interprofessional Education to lead key educational initiatives focused on collaborative healthcare delivery. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing interprofessional education programs that bring together students, faculty, and practitioners from diverse healthcare disciplines to learn and work collaboratively. The Director will interact with Programs Directors and Deans from existing and developing programs to create and deliver in-person, virtual, and asynchronous learning experiences. Rocky Vista University offers a dynamic environment with both internal and external collaborative partners dedicated to interprofessional education and practice.

Essential Job Functions

  • Program Development: Develop and design IPE curriculum and activities that promote collaboration, communication, and teamwork among healthcare professionals.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with faculty, administrators, and practitioners from various healthcare disciplines to integrate IPE into existing programs and initiatives.
  • Faculty Development: Provide training and support to faculty members to facilitate effective IPE experiences and promote a culture of collaboration.
  • Student Engagement: Engage students from different healthcare disciplines in interprofessional learning activities, such as simulations, case studies, and collaborative projects.
  • Assessment and Evaluation: Develop assessment tools and methodologies to evaluate the effectiveness of IPE programs and make data-driven improvements.
  • Research: Conduct research on IPE best practices, outcomes, and innovations to contribute to the advancement of the field.
  • Advocacy and Leadership: Serve as an advocate for IPE within the organization and in the broader healthcare community and provide leadership in promoting its importance and value.
  • Community Engagement: Collaborate with external partners, such as healthcare organizations, community agencies, and professional associations, to expand opportunities for interprofessional education and practice.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the instruction of interprofessional and communication competencies

  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and motivate students and peers, and foster principles of humanism, empathy, and professionalism among students, faculty, and staff

Minimum Qualifications

  • Terminal degree from an accredited institution in health professions discipline (i.e. Nursing, Medicine, Physician Assistant, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy, Education, etc.) with Board Certification in appropriate area of specialization if applicable
  • Academic experience as a faculty member at the university or college level
  • Demonstrated leadership and productivity in the area of scholarly activity, medical research, or education

Preferred Qualifications

  • Academic teaching experience in a medical setting
  • Demonstrated leadership and administrative experience in clinical, professional, or educational settings
  • Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration
