JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Rocky Mountain Vibes are part of the Pioneer League - MLB Partner League. The

season runs from late May through early September with a 48-home game season. This

position will allow for insight into press box operations of a Minor League Baseball

organization in a fast paced and exciting environment.

This position entails announcing all home Rocky Mountain Vibes games (48), reporting

to the Director of Marketing & Merchandise. The applicant should have a proven interest

in sports announcing or broadcasting and a complete understanding of the game of

baseball. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are preferred.

In-Season Duties (April – September):

 Perform public address content for all home games (48), from pre-game to post-

game

 Perform a PA script that will include all required advertising announcements,

special event announcements, and other announcements as required during a

home game. This person will announce and optimize it accordingly. Such

announcements include:

 Umpire Crew

 Starting Lineup

 Batters

 Pre-Game and In-Game information

 First Pitch Introduction, National Anthem Introduction and Play Ball

 Game Information

 General & Public Announcements

 League Sponsors

 Team Sponsors

 Welcome Messages

 Prize winners

 Children’s Events

 Attend all home games and mandatory team events.

 Become acquainted with players’ names, coaches’ names, and uniform numbers

as quickly as possible.

REQUIREMENTS:

Applicants must be able to work all Rocky Mountain Vibes’ home games (48).

Applicants should also be detail oriented, organized, strong interpersonal and

communication skills.
