Rocky Mountain Surgical Arts is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Lone Tree, CO

Rocky Mountain Surgical Arts is a state-of-the-art surgical facility in Lone Tree, just minutes outside of Denver. Our office is one of a kind, offering services for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Facial Cosmetic Surgery and Non-Surgical Aesthetic treatment. We offer a competitive salary with additional incentivized bonuses for extra income. Employees have the luxury of having reduced pricing (some complimentary) on products/services once employment criteria have been met.

Qualifications:

  • prior 1 year experience as a dental/surgical assistant in oral surgery is preferred; however, the right candidate can be trained into the role especially those with experience in routine wisdom teeth extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, etc.]
  • BLS/CPR certification
  • DAANCE certification is not required; however, will be favorable
  • Knowledgable with EMR

Job Type: Full-Time, office hours are generally alternating Mondays 8:00-5:00pm and Tuesday-Friday 8:30-4:30pm. Weekend hours are very limited and by appointment only

Job Functions:

  • Meet, greet and welcome patients to the practice
  • Verify patient identity (DOB, name etc), discuss patient concerns with the treating provider
  • Take images (CBCT, pano, PA’s, etc)
  • Routine day to day functions of a surgical assistant - help prepare and assist in surgery/aesthetic treatments, sterilize instruments, room turnover, follow aseptic technique and guidelines
  • Monitor anesthesia vitals
  • Prepare consults and follow ups, check patients out
  • Take pre-operative and post-operative photos for aesthetic patients
  • Navigate and assist in EMR charting
  • Follow HIPAA regulations when discussing patient health information
  • Monitor availability of supplies/equipment/implants prior to surgery
  • Communicate with patients and staff directly
  • Beginning of day and end of day workflows to be discussed in more detail as well as typical schedule and list of duties/expectations will be discussed at the time of the interview
