Job Summary and Qualifications
  • You will plan, develop, and implement neonatal, pediatric outreach education, including basic, advanced, and emergency care of each, throughout the region. This includes educational classes, CME, simulation, and clinical experiences at RMHC/PSL. Examples include, but not limited to, NRP, STABLE, PALS, ENPC, TNCC.
  • You will evaluate educational programs for outreach.
  • You will coordinate the development of appropriate outreach education materials
  • You will demonstrate advanced educational/ teaching skills
  • You will coordinate clinical experiences, serving as the clinical educator or liaison to host hospitals and practice groups.
  • You will represent Rocky Mountain Hospital for Children as a clinical resource/ consultant for referring medical community.
  • You will gather key market information and share with the CMFH team
  • You will identify the scopes of services provided in each regional hospital, including their strengths and weaknesses in caring for mothers and children. Identify the community needs through relationships and on-going market assessment.
  • You will develop and present curriculum focused on improving the knowledge and skills of health care providers. This includes the coordination of educational events (e.g. 1-2 day educational symposium).
  • You will develop and maintain an annual education and outreach calendar that is aligned with the strategic vision.
What qualifications you will need:
  • Advanced Practice or current Registered Nurse in the state of Colorado, OR active multistate RN license:
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • BCLS required upon hire.
  • Minimum 5 years nursing experience in NICU or Pediatrics.
  • Nursing educational experience preferred.
  • Power Point, Word and Excel skills.
  • Ability to present clinical information to large and small audiences.
  • Experience with event planning.
  • In order to drive a company owned vehicle (i.e. Mobile Training Center) you must have a valid Colorado Driver’s license with no more than two tickets in two years and three tickets in five years preferred.
  • Special Qualifications: Extensive travel
