Position Overview:
Under direct supervision, performs a variety of general manual labor tasks including but not limited to, lifting and moving materials, loading and unloading of trucks, and other activities in a helping or assisting role. Will be required to learn how to operate a forklift to move product following OSHA guidelines.

Responsibilities:

• Operate forklifts to load, unload, and move lumber and building materials throughout the yard.
• Receive, inspect, and organize incoming shipments of lumber and materials.
• Pre-pulling and staging customer orders.
• Assist customers and coworkers with loading and unloading materials.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, including sweeping, stacking, and organizing lumber.
• Follow safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Assist inventory control in counting and organizing warehouse materials.
• Comply with all company policies and guidelines.
• Works with constant awareness of the work environment critical to the task at hand to produce error free and damage free results.
• Other duties assigned by Supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• High school diploma or equivalent, previous experience will be considered in lieu of education.
• Prior experience operating forklifts in a lumber yard or similar environment preferred.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 80 lbs) and work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Ability to provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
• Must be reliable and on time daily.
• Must have a valid and clean MVR.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Candidate must be willing to do a Drug & Background screening.

Full-time 7:30-5 Monday- Friday with PAID lunches, and every other Saturday 8-12

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 50 – 55 per week
