Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers is Hiring a Nurse Supervisor (Medical Oncology) Near Lakewood, CO

Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers, Colorado's largest and most comprehensive provider of cancer care has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Nurse Supervisor in Lakewood.

Salary Range:
$85,000-$110,000.00
Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certification, etc. As of the date of this posting, in addition to your salary, RMCC offers the following benefits for this position, subject to eligibility requirements: Health, dental, and vision plans; wellness program; health savings account; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan; life insurance, short-term disability insurance; long-term disability insurance, Employee Assistance Program; PTO, holiday pay, tuition reimbursement, and employee paid critical illness and accident insurance.
SCOPE: Coordinates all activities related to nursing functions and patient care, within budgetary constraints. Adheres to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. Supervises nursing staff that provides professional nursing care to patients. Must recognize physical, psychological, and spiritual aspects of care. Supports and adheres to the US Oncology Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Oversight- Oversees the clinical operations for all nursing clinical support activities
  • Ensures all licensing and certification criteria are met
  • Assists with the review and revision of clinical policies and procedures
  • Ensure adequate staffing/FTEs for assigned clinics
  • Maintains effective nursing staff coverage and operating costs for the practice and/or satellites within budgetary parameters
  • Participates in the interviewing and recruiting of nursing personnel
  • Performs tasks assigned to staff nurses as necessary
  • Demonstrates working knowledge of applicable labor laws and schedules and coordinates employee staffing including vacations, sick leave and overtime
  • Ensure clinical operations and practice consistent with organizational objectives
  • Monitors and evaluates patient satisfaction and quality assurance measures
  • Directs the correct use of charge codes and coordinates education of all staff in correct procedures per reimbursement guidelines
  • Develops new services and activities for patients, families and staff in accordance with practice service objectives.
  • Staff Development- Implement staff retention and training programs w/ support from clinic leads
  • Coordinates, implements, and assists with staff training, in-services, and internal developmental programs for nursing staff
  • Assists with annual performance evaluations for nursing department staff.
  • Serves as mentor/preceptor and provides day to day guidance to less experienced nurses
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Education/Training - Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN
  • RN state license and current registration with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
  • Current CPR certification required.
  • Business Experience - Minimum five years actively practicing as a registered nurse, including at least three years oncology experience.
  • One-year leadership experience preferred
  • Specialized Knowledge/Skills - Oncology certification preferred Chemotherapy Immunotherapy provider card preferred
Working Conditions:- Traditional office environment.The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. Physical Requirements (Lifting, standing, etc.) - Large percent of time performing computer-based work is required. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Occasionally lifts and carries items weighing up to 40 lbs. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
All qualified candidates are required to pass a background check and non-federal drug test (which excludes marijuana) post offer of employment and prior to hire.
Candidates will be required to show proof of being vaccinated against influenza upon commencing employment. Reasonable accommodations will be considered on a case-by-case basis for exemptions to this requirement in accordance with applicable law.
