POSITION TITLE: Assistant Athletic Director
FLSA: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: Athletic Director
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: Ten month employment.
Core Accountabilities: Will assist the Athletic Director in all facets of the athletic program including scheduling, hiring coaches, promoting programs and events, ordering equipment, constructing budgets, and facilitating operations. This position is designed for someone who is also willing to teach at RMP.
Responsibilities:
● Attend up to 4 middle school home events per week (on-campus events take priority)
● Be second in command if the Athletic Director is out, this will be the person in charge
● Assist the Athletic Director in day-to-day tasks
Required Skills and Knowledge:
● Knowledge of our athletic programs
● Demonstrated leadership and professionalism
● Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with colleagues and student-athletes
● Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
● Knowledge of strengthening and conditioning methods and techniques
● Previous High School or College playing or coaching strongly preferred
Requirements of Employment:
● Compliance with NCHSAA rules and regulations and all other rules outlined in the school code of conduct
● Potential coaches must complete any coaching education courses required to become eligible in their specific sport
● Must be able to obtain CPR Certification (EWA funded)
● Must be trained on EWA Emergency Action Plan Procedures
● Driver’s License
