Job description

The responsibilities of a 3D CAD Detailers includes producing construction drawings for woodworking and metal fabrication in the construction of trade show exhibits.

Ability to design and create detailed working drawings with exhibit building in mind.

Ability to demonstrate high level accuracy and adherence to project specifications.

EXPERIENCE IN TRADE SHOW EXHIBIT BUILDING IS A MUST.

Responsibilities:

• Create drawings that include dimensions, recommended build materials and close up detailed views.
• Create CAD drawings based on client specifications for use in custom fabrication and tradeshow install / dismantle applications.
• Knowledge of Nimlok & Aluvision extrusion.
• Specify material, hardware, electrical / lighting specifications and building techniques in accordance with client requirements and company standards.
• Provide accurate information for procurement and sales teams.
• Effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously while hitting all critical timeline milestones.
• Work closely with Sales, Project Management, and Production personnel daily.

Qualifications:

· Must be able to read, write & communicate in English at a high level.

· Minimum 5 years of Vectorworks experience in the exhibit or related industry.

· Technical or Associate's Degree from a technical institution preferred.

· Working experience with various materials and fabrication techniques (wood, metal/welding, hardware, plastics, laminates, fabrics/textiles).

· Ability to think creatively about a variety of challenges within the design and fabrication scope.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential.

· Able to read and discern information from production schematics.

Salary: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
