BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists is looking for a Surgical Technician to join our team in Green Bay, WI. We're looking for a compassionate, thoughtful candidate who wants to contribute to a positive experience for all our patients. The typical hours for this role are Monday-Friday varying between 7:00am-5:00pm. No Holidays! No Weekends! Some travel required to Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Sturgeon Bay, and Marinette.

The Practice: We are a team of dedicated Ophthalmologists and Optometrists who exist to meet the ophthalmic needs of the people of Northeastern Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. BayCare Clinic Eye Specialists offers more specialty services than any other provider in northeastern Wisconsin and we are the largest Ophthalmology practice north of Milwaukee, with five locations in northeastern Wisconsin. We have a highly trained, collaborative team of ophthalmologists, most of whom specialize in one aspect of eye health. We have cornea, glaucoma, retina, pediatric and oculoplastic specialists.

The Job: As a Surgical Technician on our team, you'll create, maintain, and terminate the sterile field for operative procedures. You'll work closely with the surgeon to provide instruments and products necessary to perform the surgical procedure.
- Assists in the preparation of the operating/patient room for surgical procedures.
- Is well prepared and anticipates the surgeon's needs.
- Maintains effective, efficient, current, and appropriate clinical skills.
- Efficiently identifies and readies appropriate surgical supplies and instruments for surgical procedures.
- Performs initial and final instrument and surgical supply counts in accordance with policy.
- Strictly abides by all sterile technique procedures in accordance with policy.
- Routinely follows all universal precautions.
- Appropriately creates a sterile surgical field and efficiently organizes the tables.
- Provides a smooth transition between draping, incision, dissection, repair and closure.
- Safely and effectively dismantles sterile field and confines contaminated materials.
- Removes and decontaminates instruments in accordance with policy.
- Assists in the rapid and thorough surgical room turnover.
- Respects and maintains confidentiality.
- Works in a safe, compliant and ethical manner at all times.
The Requirements: - Graduation from an accredited Surgical Technician or equivalent technical program.
- 6 months - 1-year prior experience preferred.
- Must have effective communication skills.
