rockITdata is currently seeking an experienced Process Engineer to join our team to help shorten the monthly close cycle and improve the management reporting process. This position will be 100% remote with a part-time schedule of less than 16 hours a week. The ideal candidate will have experience working on projects involving design, monitoring and management of financial processes and applications. This person is collaborative, has excellent time-management skills, and practices of effective communication style. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with CFO and finance and operations teams to document the monthly close and management reporting activity for the purpose of improving and shortening the timeline of this process. 

• Provide the necessary management reports accurately and as quickly as possible to assess business performance and provide actionable insight into where adjustments should be made. 

• Identify improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement, optimization, and automation of process. 

• Support implementation of defined process measurements (OKRs), evaluate and suggest process fixes to improve results. 

• Work together with teams outside of finance to perform process and system evaluations to improve business operations. 

• Provide routine reporting of project milestones, risks, impediments, and escalation requirements. 

Required Qualifications

• 25 years of relevant process improvement experience. 

• Understanding of Finance processes and process development. 

• Process deployment, project, and change management skills. 

• Continuous improvement mindset, capability to facilitate and drive change within an organization. 

• Ability to Estimate the work and determine the release schedules. 

• Innate/documented ability to translate project activities into executive-level reports, correspondence, and presentations. 

• Must be able to manage financial and document/communicate the benefits of the project. 

• Strong analytical and PC skills. 

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with Finance applications (Deltek, Paylocity).
