Budget Analyst – Finance Office
QUALIFICATIONS: Two years of college or technical school, Bachelor's Degree preferred
Three to five years of bookkeeping experience or an equivalent combination of training/experience
Possess a thorough working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Google Docs
Be able to acquire notary public certification
DUTIES AND
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with preparation of annual budget and monthly budget amendments.
Perform a variety of ad-hoc financial analysis as requested by management,
Board of Education or elected county officials.
Monitor budgets and expenditures to ensure compliance with local, state and federal fiscal requirements.
Process purchase orders to vendors on a timely basis.
Maintain the district vendor file.
Administer Workers Compensation.
Handle claims for property and accident insurance.
Maintain district Fixed Assets.
Oversee rental of school property.
Receipt cash and checks collected on a daily basis.
Responsible for mailroom and copier functions.
Maintain supplies for the Finance Department.
Notify departments of incoming parcel deliveries.
Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school system staff, vendors and members of the community.
Must be adaptable to performing under stress and when confronted with emergency situations.
Other duties as assigned by the Chief Finance Officer.
