EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Responsibilities will include but not limited to: greeting clients and prospective clients to ascertain the services we can provide as it relates to Child Support Enforcement; answer and direct phone calls, maintain contact lists, produce and distribute correspondence memos, letters, faxes and forms, develop and maintain a filing system, order office supplies, serve as customer service representative, and establish a working relationship with the general public, staff and other county agency personnel. Additional responsibilities will include opening and closing the office and being available for supervisors to conduct other assigned tasks.Physical RequirementsThis work requires the frequent exertion of up to 10 pounds of force; work regularly requires sitting, speaking or hearing, using hands to finger, handle or feel and repetitive motions, frequently requires walking and reaching with hands and arms and occasionally requires standing, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling, pushing or pulling and lifting; work has standard vision requirements; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to perceive information at normal spoken word levels; work requires preparing and analyzing written or computer data, operating motor vehicles or equipment and observing general surroundings and activities; work occasionally requires exposure to outdoor weather conditions; work is generally in a moderately noisy location (e.g. business office, light traffic).

Supplemental InformationNote: In accordance with State mandates and the Rockingham County Emergency Operations Plan, Rockingham County Health and Human Services staff from the Divisions of Social Services, Public Health and Integrated Health are required to staff emergency shelters during times of disaster. Please be advised that every staff person is eligible to be assigned to an emergency shelter or Emergency Operations Center.
