Rockhurst University’s School of Education invites applications for a full-time Director of Field Experience and Evaluation staff position. This is an 11-month position with a start date of July 22, 2024. Responsibilities include facilitating the placement of undergraduate and graduate education students in required field experiences/practicums, supervising and mentoring student teachers, serving as the Certification Officer, academic advising, monitoring the quality of the learning experiences provided to students in field experience and professional semester placements, coordinating processes for assessment of student learning outcomes, and leading accreditation preparation and reporting for continuous improvement. Applicants must have demonstrated successful experiences teaching in K-12 schools and assessment practices for continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree in an education related field.
• A K-12 teaching certification/license.
• A minimum of three years of experience teaching in K-12 schools.
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with data-driven assessment practices for continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products, especially Excel.
• Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with students, faculty, administration, and external constituents.
• Experience with advising students.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience mentoring new teachers.
• Familiarity with Kansas City Metropolitan School Districts.
• Experience with educator preparation programs.
• Experience with learning management systems such as Canvas.
• Demonstrated ability to collect, analyze, and present data in a meaningful and user-friendly manner.
• Advanced knowledge and experience with assessment and accreditation practices and reporting.
• Innovative pedagogy and online teaching and learning practices.
• Supportive of the educational mission of Jesuit higher education.
