Registered Nurse

Rockford Urological Associates is looking for a full-time Registered Nurse for our growing urological practice. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for rooming patients, verifying, and recording patient information, and updating patient’s medical history. Additional responsibilities include, preparing treatment rooms for patient examinations, keeping rooms clean, stocking supplies, helping physicians examine and treat patients, and giving injections when needed. This role will also involve triage phone calls and follow-up responsibilities as well. The Registered Nurse will also provide professional nursing assessments, prioritize treatments according to the urgency of need, and initiate medical care to patients arriving at the office with urological stress and/or emergent urological symptoms.

Primary Duties:

· Rooming patients

· Preparing patients for examination

· Taking vital signs

· Verify and record patient medical information

· Maintain examining room supplies and inventory

· Assist physician during exams

· Assist with surgical office procedures

· Administer injections when needed

· Collect and prepare laboratory specimens

· Preparing and administering medications per protocol

· Discharging patients and coordinating follow-up care

· Perform all other duties as assigned

Required:

· Completion of Registered Nursing License

· Minimum 2 years experience as a Registered Nurse

· Ability to triage messages

· Knowledge of medical terminology

· Ability to multi-task and work in a team environment

· Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment

· Possess critical thinking abilities

· Possess exceptional communication skills

· Previous EMR knowledge and experience
