    PURPOSE OF THE POSITION: The Teacher Technology Support in a school will work under the direction of the principal and the Educational Technology Director to provide support for the use of educational technology in the school by the professional staff.
    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None
    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. In addition to the requirements listed below, regular attendance is an essential function of this position.
    • Ensures that all actions are in concert with the Board policies as well as the mission statement, beliefs, objectives, and parameters found in the Board’s strategic plan.
    • Participates in job training and professional growth opportunities in order to enhance ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
    • Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring an efficient and effective work environment.
    • Provide regular orientation and training to building staff in the use of technology
    • Provide on-going coaching support to teachers on the use of educational technology as a tool to redesign learning and instruction.
    • Provide input into the development and revision of district technology policies and procedures.
    • Build awareness and capacity of building staff for integration of technology resources into the curriculum.
    • Attend and participate in up to 5 days of summer professional learning and planning. Dates agreed upon by May 1st.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    • Must hold current professional educator license and be a full-time classroom teacher.
    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
    • Ability to demonstrate qualities aligned to our core values of Character, Communication, Collaboration and Continuous Improvement.
    • Basic knowledge of district applications, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Google Apps for Education, iPads, Chromebooks, and SMART Learning Suite.
    • Proven track record in use of best practice instructional methods, the analysis and use of data and technology to improve instruction, and the ability to build professional coaching relationships, solve problems, plan collaboratively and provide feedback effectively.
    • Ability to problem solve and work with a variety of learners.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Demonstrated skills in working with adult learners.
    • Lifelong learner – develop expertise and skills in new technologies.
    WORK CALENDAR: 10 Months
    WORKING CONDITIONS: Moderate in-district travel as well as intermittent in-state and out-of-state travel. Intermittent prolonged and irregular hours of work.
