Job Description
Position Title: Operations Coordinator Lead, Volleyball Programs
Reports To: Rec Sports Coordinator
Department: UW Health Sports Factory
Grade Level: $18/hour
Exempt/Non-exempt: Non-Exempt
JOB DESCRIPTION:
  • Provides leadership and instruction to program participants
  • Develops staff schedules and training agendas.
  • Monitors program and facility equipment to assure proper condition for use.
  • Performs preparation for activities including setup, displays, etc. designed to enhance the participants' experience.
  • Aids in supervision of UW Health Sports Factory as assigned
  • Works unusual hours, including evenings, weekends and all holidays in a fast paced atmosphere
  • Responsible for conduction oneself in a safe and proper manner and adhering to all safety guidelines, policies and procedures that have been implemented by the Rockford Park District
  • Assists in the development of events, programs, and curriculum.
  • Assists in the development and maintenance of procedural manuals and safety manuals specific to programs and summer camps, following District guidelines.
  • Attends related organizations boards or meetings
  • Provides quality customer service to all patrons, groups, guests and other District employees.
  • Attends various District meetings as appropriate to keep informed of District events and activities.
  • Maintains high standards for the implementation of sound safety practices and procedures. Assists in the development of program specific manuals and safety procedures for assigned programs. Is responsible for risk management audits for assigned programs.
QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 21 years of age or older
  • High School Diploma, plus 1-3 years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills that allow for success in a team environment
  • Possess excellent communication skills in both written and verbal forms
  • Work effectively with other District employees, partners, vendors, donors and volunteers
  • In Depth knowledge of the game of Volleyball
  • Knowledge and ability to officiate Volleyball Matches
  • Ability to provide customers with expert care, sensitive consideration, and efficient service
  • Strong work ethic required.
  • Ability to document information completely
  • Experience with computers, Internet, Microsoft Office Suite, Telephone, Basic Office Equipment
