JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintains shipping materials by checking stock to determine inventory levels; anticipating needed materials; placing and expediting orders for materials and verifying receipts of material ordered.
• Prepares shipments per assembling packaging material using proper ESD packaging to protect boards/parts, and ensuring correct labels are placed according to customer/vendor.
• Determines methods of shipment by checking the MPI and examining the item to be shipped checking the destination, route, rates and time of shipment.
• Documents items shipped by recording into daily log and files documents accurately for future reference.
• Will support Program Managers and Buyers questions and needs to ensure we give our customers accurate information when needed.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Should be able to balance different types of work load and works with accuracy and efficiency.
• If shipment or pick-up is not met, communicates to Program Manager or Requestor.
• Oversees the priorities of the department and ensures that they are met in a timely manner.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• 2 to 3 years in a Program, Projects or Customer Service environment within Contract Manufacturing.
• High School Diploma or equivalent

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Ability to work under pressure and in a very fast pace environment.
• Ability to obtain and operate internal forklift certification.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English well enough to effectively accomplish the job.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and stand for long periods of time.
• Drivers must have a good driving record.
• Drivers must have good vision and be in good health.
• This position often requires overtime including some weekend hours and must be able to work mandatory overtime when needed.
• Possess and demonstrates good team relations skills
• Basic computer knowledge and ability to learn new software/programs. (Manex – UPS Worldwide – Fedex Ship)
• Detail-oriented with ability to focus on task and specific job instructions.
• Should be able to self-direct themselves, interact with Program managers and Buyers as well as Customers.
