Organization Overview:
The new institute builds on Rockefellers long legacy of infectious-disease research in supporting intensive research on pathogens, including proven troublemakers as well as likely new suspects. Among other initiatives, it will support several studies launched in 2020 aimed at better understanding the biology of SARS-CoV-2 and developing interventions to prevent and treat infections, including work by Rockefeller scientists Michel Nussenzweig, Paul Bieniasz, Theodora Hatziioannou, and Charles Rice. Together with Pamela Bjrkman at the California Institute of Technology, this group characterized the immune response to natural infection and to vaccines and boosters, tracking the evolution of both the virus and our antibodies.
Overview:

The Nursing Assistant will assist with direct research participant care as delegated by and under the direct supervision of the Clinical Research Nurse.

Responsibilities:

The Nursing Assistant's Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Providing direct care and observation to assigned research participant(s)
• Phlebotomy
• Assisting with medical procedures such as the collection and processing of specimens
• Performing ECGs
• Maintaining of equipment, supplies, and routine nursing unit functions
• Other duties will be assigned as needed

Qualifications:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of one (1) year of experience as a Nursing Assistant in a Hospital or equivalent Health Care environment outside of a Hospital Setting is required. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Strong Computer skills (electronic medical records and excel programs). Must be detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple tasks.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
