Under the supervision of the Lead Doorperson, the Doorperson at the Front Desk will serve as the communication and security center for the residential building complex with 500 residences and 30 hotel rooms. Will ensure the safety and security of all persons and property in the building complex by following all security procedures, controlling access to the building at all entrances through physical and/or electronic monitoring, maintaining desk logs, and patrolling the building complex as scheduled. Will provide appropriate response and directions during life/safety emergencies and tripped alarms, which monitor the function of the building's 24-hour mechanical systems, coordinate receipt and transmittal of tenant packages, overnight mail, dry cleaning, and all other deliveries, such as groceries, take-out food, furniture, overnight parcels, and luggage, accept packages, log and sort packages, and notify tenants of deliveries, coordinate verbal and written information among residents, guests, management and employees, vendors, contractors, delivery persons, and all other visitors, respond to tenant questions and complaints and instruct tenants and visitors on building rules, maintain a neat and orderly lobby, front desk and package area, install elevator padding and assist moving companies, perform security rounds of the building, and perform snow removal as needed.

Required Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must be able to communicate effectively, detail-oriented, friendly, able to multi-task, and has the ability to respond calmly during emergencies and periods of stress. Must possess strong interpersonal skills as this position requires interactions with residents and their families. Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds (heavy packages) and the ability to walk up many flights and/or run a short distance in the event of an emergency. Previous experience working in residential buildings is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
A College degree, with a minimum of one year of relevant work experience, is preferred.
