A Medicaid Coordinator at a skilled rehab nursing home is responsible for managing the Medicaid enrollment process for residents and ensuring that the facility is in compliance with Medicaid regulations.
The Medicaid Coordinator will work closely with residents, their families, and the nursing home's healthcare team to gather necessary documentation and complete the Medicaid application process. They will also be responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date records for all residents, including their Medicaid status and eligibility.
In addition to the Medicaid Coordinator responsibilties, this position will also assist the Admission Director in the Admissions office. These responsibilities will include, verifying insurance and opening HMO authorizations for new admissions, getting admission agreements signed by residents or families, helping Admissions Director with paperwork and getting charts ready for new admissions, working with Admissions and Social Work to do room changes as necessary, being a back up to Admission Director to do tours for families and helping to answer phones for Admissions.
Overall, the Medicaid Coordinator/Admission Assistant plays a critical role in ensuring that residents at the skilled rehab nursing home are able to access the healthcare services they need.
This job is a full time position.
Salary range is $55,000 to $65,000/ annually depending on experience.
