Description

The Accounting Specialist II role is an essential part of the deposit operations of the credit union. This role is responsible for a variety of higher-level accounting and financial tasks and duties, including reviewing checks for potential fraud, balancing ATM and debit card clearing accounts, processing ACH and disputes, and administering the overdraft program. Because of the duties and expectations of the role, formal education and prior accounting or operations experience is typical in this position.

Requirements

· This is a full-time position with partial remote flexibility after a training period 

· Education equivalent to a high school diploma

· 2-year degree in accounting, preferred

· Additional certifications, such as AAP is preferred 

· 3 years’ accounting/operations experience, preferably in a financial institution

What you’ll be working on

· ACH processing

· Balancing of general ledger accounts.

· ODP Program

·Assist with credit union regulatory reporting requirements.

·Wire transfers

·Debit card disputes
