Supervision Exercised: Functional supervision may be exercised over faculty and staff for assigned areas.
Job Summary
Under the direction of the Dean, provide support in project planning and implementation. Responsible for establishing project goals and ensuring the project is completed according to schedule. Fosters collaborative working relationships with internal and external counterparts to communicate and coordinate initiatives that support College and instructional goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Related duties may be assigned.
- Represent and promote implementation of the College’s core values and strategic initiatives.
- Work with assigned Dean to actively investigate and develop new programs and courses.
- Collaborate with faculty in the development of new curriculum.
- Collaborate with the Dean and the Director of Marketing to plan division-based marketing initiatives.
- Develop and/or modify project plans related to the academic success of RVC’s students, and track progress of the plans.
- Support assigned Dean and their Vice President in investigating and developing alternative funding sources, including grant proposals.
- Represent the College and division interests by participation with appropriate external committees and activities (local, regional, and national).
- Work collaboratively with Academic Affairs leadership, including participation in Academic Affairs professional development initiatives and planning councils.
- Ensure that appropriate division policies, procedures and guidelines are developed, maintained and enforced.
- Ensure that procedures and actions taken are consistent with the faculty association’s Collective Bargaining Agreement.
- Maintain documentation of meetings and project details.
- Prepare progress reports for each project to which you are assigned.
- Create progress presentations for senior management.
- Maintain confidentiality of student records, personnel files, and other sensitive information.
- Regular attendance is expected.
- Using tact and courtesy, the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with persons contacted in the course of work.

Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree required in one of the assigned discipline areas (Arts and Social Sciences), Master’s degree preferred. 3 years’ experience managing a program or grant.
