Rock Machinery Company, LLC. is Hiring a Millwright Near Fort Wayne, IN

Rock Machinery is a distributor that has an intense focus on valuing employees and customers in the mining and aggregate industry.

Rock Machinery started as a parts distributor and quickly grew into offering unmatched support for all makes and models of aggregate crushing, screening, and conveying equipment in the midwest.

With growth in mind, Rock Machinery is now staffing a branch location in northeast Indiana, which will be able to support the Indiana and Michigan markets with new and used equipment, parts inventory, and service that includes testing, diagnosing, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and new installs of aggregate plant equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Must be available to travel up to 50% within Indiana, Michigan, and occasionally other surrounding states.
  • Provide service and customer support during field visits on aggregate equipment (crushers, screens, and conveyor related equipment).
  • Perform life cycle management and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Maintain a high level of aptitude in the industry for the repair of aggregate equipment.
  • Tie workflow to schedule.
  • Manage all on site installation, repair, maintenance, and test tasks.
  • Diagnose errors or technical problems and determine proper solutions for stock equipment and customer equipment.
  • Provide training to customers as needed.
  • Produce timely and detailed service reports.
  • Prepare and submit service reports and document services performed.
  • Operate vehicles in a safe manner.
  • Follow all company procedures, safety requirements, and protocol.
  • Follow all customer safety procedures and requirements.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area.
  • Comprehend customer requirements and make appropriate recommendations / briefings.
  • Build positive relationships with customers.

Requirements

  • Proven Field Service experience.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service crushing, screening and conveying equipment.
  • Mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge for onsite troubleshooting.
  • English is a must, Spanish would be a plus.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and to adapt to changing work schedules.
  • Familiarity with mobile tools and applications.
  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Welding ability.
  • Up to 50% Overnight travel may be required.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • CDL is a plus.
