Description

Position Summary:

Position is responsible for applying welt to furniture with glue reel and mallet.

Position Details:

• Uses/reads routing sheet to determine product needs
• Measures, cuts and applies welt to furniture
• Uses glue reel, staples and mallet to complete application
• Ensures quality work before moving product to next production step
• Observes safety rules
• Completes other duties as directed by Supervisor

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Previous welting experience a plus
• Must be able to read and write

• Must be able to walk, stand, climb, stoop, twist, push, pull, and bend over the course of 8 hours
• Must be able to work in noisy environments
• Must be able to use a hot glue, staple and nail guns
• Frequently lifting/carrying objects up to 50 lbs.; up to 100 lbs. with assistance
