About the Organizations:
Since the 1990s, the Affiliated Santé Group (Santé meaning health in French) has supported individuals living with mental, emotional, and substance use conditions through a consortium of nonprofit organizations. The common thread between them all is the ability to provide hope and healing to individuals in their most vulnerable times.
The Rock Creek Foundation is a nonprofit founded in 1973, and is part of that consortium. We empower individuals with intellectual disabilities and/or profound mental illness to stay or reintegrate into their community of choice through a combination of therapeutic and rehabilitative services. We offer a comprehensive range of treatment options, including supported employment, residential rehabilitation, meaningful day, and psychiatric rehabilitation services.
Both the Rock Creek Foundation and Affiliated Santé Group are led by Black women who have been part of their respective organizations for more than 15 years. Both organizations are based out of the same Silver Spring office, need to grow their local profiles and fundraising income, and thus are looking for a Director of Development who can spend 50% of their time with each nonprofit. You would join a team of staff who already work closely together between orgs (no silos here!), but would be the second ever fundraising hire on the ASG side and first on the RCF side. You would be the only fundraising staff member currently at either organization, but we expect to add a Corporate Relations Manager soon as well. The Chief of Operations at RCF has a fundraising background, so will be available for some assistance as well.
