We are looking for a long-term, career, employee. You will help with case management under the supervision of an attorney. You will analyze medical bills and medical records, i.e. calculate medical bills for accident injury clients, cross referencing with medical records, medical providers, and insurance companies. This will require frequent contact with medical providers and health insurers. You will also be heavily involved in the litigation process, including answering discovery, e-filings, and helping prepare the attorney for trial. You will also communicate frequently with our clients in order to serve them adequately.

The pay for this job starts at $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. These is also opportunity for bonuses and advancement.

There is a learning curve to this job and we will teach the right candidate, but we require at least a two-year commitment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative support to lawyer
• Analyze medical bills and medical records
• Communicate with medical providers, clients, lawyers, courts
• Help attorney prepare for trial
• Transcribe dictation

Qualifications

• Good math and writing skills
• Good typing (60 wpm)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word and knowledge of basic Excel formulas
• Ability to think analytically and logically, asking probing questions to get answers
• Ability to work with insurance companies and medical providers to obtain needed information
• Desire to stay in job for at least two years, preferably longer
• Ability to conduct yourself professionally in a professional environment
