SUMMARY

As a Physical Therapist – Rehab, your ability to design, plan and implement personalized physical therapy intervention greatly enhances patient function and overall quality of life.

Rochester Regional Health offers the largest physical therapy and rehabilitation program in the region. Our team combines compassion and respect with cutting-edge therapy and rehabilitation treatments for patients of all ages - from pediatrics to geriatrics.

STATUS: Full Time 40 hours week

LOCATION: 2655 Ridgeway Avenue, Suite 320, Rochester, NY 14626

DEPARTMENT: Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation- Ridgeway

SCHEDULE: Monday- Fridays (occasional Weekend support)

ATTRIBUTES

  • Current New York State license or a limited permit as a Registered Physical Therapist
  • If New York State license or limited permit is not held, must be hired within 90 days of graduation from New York State or APTA accredited physical therapist education program and meet Practice Exemption under New York State Physical Therapy License Requirements.
  • Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy or Bachelor’s degree with prior experience as a licensed Physical Therapist required.
  • Prior Physical Therapist experience preferred.
  • Developed leadership skills
  • Patient focused, with demonstrated care and compassion
  • Exceptional communication and documentation skills

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Treatment & Planning. Meet patient goals and needs by providing quality, evidence-based care; assess, develop and implement an individualized treatment plan; help the patient accomplish treatment plan and accept therapeutic devices by administering manual exercises; instruct, encourage and assist patients in performing physical activities, such as non-manual exercises, ambulatory functional activities and daily-living activities. Specializing in Women's Health- PT.
  • Discharge Management. Assure continuation of therapeutic plan following discharge by designing home exercise programs; instruct patients, families and caregivers in home exercise programs; recommend and provide assistive equipment; recommend outpatient or home health follow-up programs
  • Leadership. Develop physical therapy staff by providing information; develop and conduct in-service training programs

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

PAY RANGE: $68,640.00 - $105,000.00
