Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Prior Authorization Specialist to join our team. As a specialist in prior authorizations for medications and diagnosiic imaging, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our patients receive timely and accurate approvals for their essential treatments.

Job Duties Include:

• Evaluate and process prior authorizations for medications and diagnositic imaging procedures.
• Liasion with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients togather necessary information for authorization submissions.
• Stay updated on insurance policies, guidelines, and procedures related to prior authorizations.
• Ensure accurate documentation and timely submissions to expedite the approval process.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to streamline teh prior authorization workflow.
• Address denials and appeals, providing necessary documentation to support the authorization requests.
• Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following, and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
• Maintains patient confidence and protects operations by keeping patient care information confidential.
• Knowledge of EMR and Microsoft Office programs.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience working in a physician office or healthcare setting, specifically in prior authorizations for medications and diagnostic imaging.
• Strong understanding of insurance policies, healthcare regulations, and medical terminology.
• Excellent communications skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team enviroment.
• Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
• Proficiency in using relevant software and tools for prior authorization processes.
