General Summary

The Associate Supervisor, Assembly Operations requires the ability to multitask in a dynamic production environment. The Associate Supervisor will communicate and collaborate with internal departments, including Assembly Operations, Engineering, Production Control, Maintenance, and Quality, and assist in reaching company production objectives.

Qualifications

  • Direct operational workflows by completing production plans, scheduling/assigning personnel, setting work result goals, designating priorities, monitoring progress, revising schedules, resolving problems, and reporting results of the processing flow.
  • Supervise staff, respond to subordinate requests, and coordinate and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
  • Onboard, train, and mentor employees to all relevant specifications and procedures.
  • Ensure floor operations meet or exceed department goals; collaborate with stakeholders on remedial actions where short.
  • Collaborate with maintenance and engineering to ensure equipment is operational and to coordinate scheduled downtime to minimize production impacts.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all control points, equipment, and resources, and maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Ensure production planning and execution align with internal and external customer needs.
  • Review processes for throughput and cost efficiency improvements in conjunction with manufacturing operations leaders, set processing variables, observe control points and implement reporting procedures and systems.
  • Responsible for MES software transactions.
    • Perform additional duties as assigned.
    • Assist with operational specifications and procedures updates, as required.
    • Work with other internal departments on continuous improvements.
    • Support the 6S Program, Continuous Improvement, Kaizen events and participate in corrective action activities.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in engineering, business management, manufacturing, or related field required or equivalent number of years of experience in lieu of degree.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a semiconductor role preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to multitask, prioritize, delegate, and time manage available resources and adapt to the current business environment.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor assembly, materials, processes, and equipment is helpful.
  • Knowledge of Lean, 6S, and Continuous Improvement tools is helpful but not required.
  • Familiarity or quick development of computer skills, specifically with ERP and MES systems.
  • Appreciation of our quality standards and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
  • Represent, support, and encourage the Rochester culture in the department and ensure the team is following the work practices, specifications, and policies set forth by the company.
